Description
Panama Geisha green coffee beans 60 kg
This Specialty Green Coffee — Panama Geisha (60 kg Bag) is among the world’s most coveted Arabica coffees. Cultivated in the highlands of Boquete, Chiriquí Province, this Geisha varietal thrives at altitudes between 1 600 and 1 900 meters, where volcanic soil and mountain mist produce exceptional complexity and sweetness (Panama Geisha green coffee beans 60 kg).
Each lot is hand-harvested at full ripeness and processed using the washed or natural method depending on the season. The beans are then meticulously dried on raised beds and packed in 60 kg jute bags with a grain-pro liner to maintain ideal moisture and freshness.
Panama Geisha is revered for its unique aromatic profile — jasmine blossom, bergamot, mango, and honey — paired with a tea-like body and vibrant acidity. Cup profiles regularly exceed 90+ points on the SCA scale, earning this coffee top marks at international auctions and competitions.
The Geisha varietal, originally from Ethiopia, was reintroduced in Panama decades ago and perfected by small estates such as those in Boquete and Volcán. The combination of terroir, altitude, and artisanal processing makes it the benchmark for specialty coffee worldwide.
Each 60 kg bag represents roughly 8 000 cups of roasted coffee. Roasters appreciate its versatility:
- Light roast: highlights floral aromatics and citrus brightness.
- Medium roast: enhances honey, peach, and tropical fruit tones.
- Omni-roast: balances sweetness and clarity for filter and espresso applications.
Every batch is cup-tested and traceable to a specific micro-lot and harvest date. The beans meet export grade standards:
Screen size 15+, moisture 10–11%, and defect count <5/300g.
For Swiss specialty roasters, DR-Import provides direct-trade supply, with customs clearance and refrigerated storage in Zürich. Each shipment includes full cupping data and quality certification.
Panama Geisha is more than coffee — it’s a sensory experience that embodies craftsmanship and terroir. Whether roasted for competitions, high-end cafés, or direct retail, this micro-lot elevates any roaster’s portfolio with prestige and quality.
